Who are they? What do they do? Every so often we like to share a little bit about the people that make King Street Agency great. Today that person is Randall Epps.
How long have you worked at KSA?
I’ve worked for King Street Agency for 4 years.
What is your role at KSA?
I am the Health and Benefits Consultant. I help individuals and families find a health plan that suits their needs. I also help businesses decipher the Affordable Care Act law and strategize with them to make sure they are compliant and also benefitting themselves as well as their employees.
What makes KSA great?
We are an independent agency that can go to multiple markets to find what you’re looking for. We have a very hands-on personal approach to all aspects of your coverage. We each fill a niche to make sure you are getting what you actually need and not just a cookie cutter mold of what coverages are available.
What’s your favorite part of Charleston?
I grew up in Athens, GA. It’s a small college town, but it has a big personality. I felt that same thing when I moved to Charleston. I love how vibrant this city is and you can’t beat living near water. There is always so much to do and see and the people here make it that much better.
Tell us something that might surprise us about you.
I’ve had Type 1 Diabetes since I was 8 years old and it’s a huge motivator that makes what I do personal. Because of my experiences, I empathize with clients who have medical conditions. I feel responsible that they get the best care available because I’ve been there and I know how important it is to make sure things like your medications are covered. I get enormous fulfillment and satisfaction from my job knowing that I’m helping others feel secure and confident in their everyday lives.
